About Our Faith Formation Program

On the lips of the catechist the first proclamation must ring out over and over: “Jesus Christ loves you; he gave his life to save you; and now he is living at your side every day to enlighten, strengthen and free you.”

St. Columbkille’s Faith Formation Program endeavors to form into practicing and faith-filled Catholics our parish’s children and teenagers. Mindful that parents/guardians are their children’s first and primary faith formators, our catechists provide age-appropriate instruction that prepares children and teenagers to receive the Sacraments and develop their own personal relationship with God.

Program Overview

The Program is designed for children in grades 1 through 7 who have been baptized.

Classes are held on Sundays from 11:00-11:50am in the school.

The Program is as follows:

• Children in grades 1-2 prepare for First Communion.
• Children in grades 3-7 continue their faith formation.
• Teenagers in grade 8-10 prepare for Confirmation. This preparation includes formation that is designed to both inspire teens intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually and call them to a personal encounter with Jesus Christ.

Confirmation Prep - Grades 8-10

Classes are held in the school on Sunday evenings after the 5:00pm Mass, from 6:00-7:30pm.

Faith Formation Fee

Registration is $50.00 per student per year with a maximum of $150.00 per family. The cost is the same for all grades.
