The Catholic Church actually has four different Masses for Christmas: The Vigil of Christmas, Christmas Mass at Night, Christmas Mass at Dawn, and Christmas Mass During the Day. Each of these Masses counts to fulfill the obligation to attend Christmas Mass, but there is an ancient tradition to attend more than one. We will celebrate those Masses at the following times: December 24: The Vigil of Christmas: 4 pm Christmas Mass at Night: 8 pm (this Mass will be in Spanish and English). This will be proceeded by a Christmas Concert, starting at 7:30. December 25: Christmas Mass at Dawn: 7:30 am Christmas Mass During the Day: 9:30 am, 11:15 am, and 12:45 pm (en Español) There will not be a 5 pm Mass. All Christmas Masses, and all Masses until the Feast of the Epiphany, are in the upper church. |
