On January 29, at 7 pm at the Greenbriar Irish Pub, Brighton Theology on Tap will be hosting Dr. David Franks, Professor at St. John’s Seminary in Boston and Chairman of the Board at Massachusetts Citizens for Life, on the topic "Why Assisted Suicide Abandons the Suffering." There are no simple solutions for suffering, just the patience and wisdom of love. When the disabled and elderly consider themselves burdensome, is it the loving thing to give them drugs so that they can commit suicide? This fall, it is likely that Massachusetts voters will be faced with a referendum to decriminalize assisted suicide.
