Overview How It Works
ARISE Together in Christ is a three-year, parish-centered process of spiritual renewal and evangelization that enables people to deepen their faith, develop a closer relationship with Christ, grow in community, and reach out in service to others. The ARISE process applies the spiritual standards of Christ to all areas of life. It emphasizes people living in good relationship with one another, as they make concrete applications of the Gospel to their life situations.
Goals
The goals of the ARISE process are:
ARISE Together in Christ is a total renewal experience for the parish, spiritually transforming people through small Christian communities, special parish activities, reflections for families with teens and children, and Christian social action. Because of the variety of ways in which people are engaged, something is available for every parishioner, creating a unifying and enthusiastic spiritual climate in the parish.
Over a three-year period, a time of preparation is followed by five six-week blocks of time, or "Season". Each of these Seasons has a major gospel theme that is broken down into weekly themes and experienced in the variety of ways mentioned above. To ensure a successful experience, RENEW International provides comprehensive training for the ARISE Diocesan Team, ARISE Parish Teams, and parish Small Community Leaders.
Please note that although there are multiple seasons listed, attendance at previous seasons is not required. New participants are welcome and encouraged to join the program with Season III which starts the week of October 4th, 2009.
